OBJECTIVES OF THE PROGRAMME

1. Aider les pays a reduire la morbidite et la mortalite maternelles evitables, notamment des avortements non medicalises. 2. Promouvoir et proteger la sante et les droits sexuels et reproductifs (SRHR) pour le bien-etre de toutes les personnes dans le cadre du 13eme Programme General de travail, et leur permettre de contribuer au developpement global de leur communaute et de leur societe.Au Burundi, l'objectif du programme est de renforcer l'appui du bureau pays de l'Organisation mondiale de la Sante, pour l'atteinte des objectifs nationaux en matiere de sante familiale et reproductive et de contribuer aux actions mondiales et regionales de sante publique. Le programme contribuera en outre au developpement et a la mise en œuvre des politiques et strategies nationales, des plans operationnels, des directives, normes et standards en matiere de la Sante Maternelle, Reproductive et du Genre.- Apporter un appui technique aux services nationaux dans la planification, le developpement et la mise en œuvre des politiques et des strategies nationales en matiere de sante Reproductive, sante maternelle, de la sante de la femme et du Genre selon les strategies regionales ;- Apporter un appui technique au developpement de la recherche operationnelle sur les divers aspects de la sante Reproductive, sante maternelle, de la sante de la femme et du Genre,- Collaborer avec les partenaires impliques dans les activites de renforcement des systemes de sante et des services de la sante Reproductive, sante maternelle, de la sante de la femme et du genre, en particulier les programmes de sante de l'enfant et de l'adolescent, la lutte contre le paludisme, la lutte contre les maladies non transmissibles, la prevention et la prise en charge du VIH/SIDA.- Contribuer a l'atteinte des Objectifs de Developpement Durables (ODD) 3 lies a la sante, en particulier l'ODD 3 relatif a la sante maternelle et a la planification familiale.

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES

Le / la titulaire executera les taches suivantes :1. Assister le pays dans la planification, la mise en œuvre et la revue des interventions relatives a la sante maternelle, droit et sante de la femme, SSR en collaboration avec les autres organismes impliques dans ces domaines et dans le cadre de la Programmation commune du Systeme des Nations Unies.2. Fournir une assistance technique pour le developpement ou la mise a jour des directives nationales, des guides techniques, des modules de formation et la revision de curricula de formation pour la SSR.3. Faciliter une approche integree dans la prestation des services et des soins de qualite a chaque etape du cycle de la vie (Enfant, Adolescent, Adulte, Personne Agees) delivres a tous les niveaux du systeme de sante dans le cadre du processus de developpement des Soins de Sante Primaires (SSP) et de la Couverture Sanitaire universelle (CSU).4. Contribuer a l'etablissement des partenariats efficaces avec les bilateraux, les multilateraux, les donateurs, les programmes connexes et la societe civile pour la promotion Genre et Droit humains a la Sante, notamment le protocole de Maputo. 5. Initier/Appuyer la recherche operationnelle en matiere de sante sexuelle et reproductive y compris la Planification Familiale dans les formations sanitaires et au niveau communautaire.6. Coordonner et faciliter la documentation et la diffusion des lecons apprises dans la programmation de la Sante reproductive, maternelle et du genre ; et la promotion et la mise en œuvre de la recherche operationnelle7. Servir comme Point Focal pour toutes les questions et les interets de genre.8. Toute autre tache convenue avec le representant du bureau pays de l'OMS, les homologues techniques du bureau regional et du siege de cette initiative.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education

Essential: - Medecin Gynecologue Obstetricien ou Pediatre, specialiste en sante publique ou equivalent
Desirable: Specialisation en sciences sociales ou juridiques

Experience

Essential: Avoir au moins deux (02) annees d'experience dans la conception des politiques et strategies novatrices et la mise en oeuvre des programmes de sante maternelle et reproductive ; et l'analyse des donnees.
Desirable: Une bonne connaissance du systeme de sante du Burundi. Une experience dans la gestion de Programme et / ou d'assistance technique a travers ou au sein du systeme des Nations Unies et de Solides capacites redactionnelles

REMUNERATION

Remuneration comprises an annual base salary starting at BIF 71,783,000 (subject to mandatory deductions for pension contributions and health insurance, as applicable) and 30 days of annual leave.
