Before starting my practice, I was the Coaching Manager of the World Bank Group, where I directed 1,000+ coaching engagements to assist staff worldwide in preparing for career advancements, enhancing impact, and transitioning successfully to new roles. Previously, I was Head of Learning and Development at the EBRD (London, UK) and a professor at Bocconi University (Milan, Italy), where I still teach and coach in the Executive Master in Management of International Organizations. I am also affiliated with the GWU Center of Excellence in Public Leadership (Washington DC) and the University of San Diego School of Leadership.

I am an ICF certified coach (PCC level), hold a PhD in Business Administration and have coached client from 30+ nationalities.

Salma has worked with UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador Mia Farrow, UN Education Envoy Gordon Brown, UN Peace Ambassador Malala’s father Ziauddin Yousafzai and her longterm teacher Mariam Khalique. Prior to working with the UN Salma was a journalist with the Associated Press TV, BBC and ITV.
