We have developed a mobile savings model that allows farmers to invest their own funds in high-quality seed, fertilizer, and agricultural training to increase their harvest and income by 50-100%. About the Role:

You will oversee myAgro's commercial strategy and activities in Senegal, and maximize growth, improve market position, and increase profitability, following myAgro's vision and strategic goals. You will oversee seasonal activities and special projects and serve as the key link between the field team and supporting departments, to ensure productive collaboration and partnership.

You will establish and lead territorial plans and sales strategies to serve and expand the customer base, manage the sales team for high-quality execution, and collaborate with other country and regional teams to overcome barriers and achieve targets.

You will develop and implement commercial strategies, to ensure myAgro's excellence in Sales, contributing to its overall success and sustainability.

You will report to the Country Director, Senegal and be based in our Thies, Senegal, office.

 

You Will:

  • Lead a motivated and committed team to achieve sales target and grow revenue in Senegal through strategic planning and execution.
  • Ensure that the sales operation team, call center and the field sales team are working in close collaboration to foster sales and customer loyalty.
  • Coach team members and recognize excellence.
  • Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure success, and use data to make decisions and optimize performance.
  • Manage all assigned budgets. 
  • Stay ahead and adapt to approaches to industry trends and competitor activities to maintain a competitive edge. 
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as Innovation, Product Development, and Technology to guarantee a cohesive approach to achieving myAgro's goals.
  • Provide ad-hoc support to the Country Director including internal processes oversight and government relationships.

 

You have:

  •  5 or more years’ experience leading large field teams to achieve sales targets
  • Data-driven approach to sales management
  • Skills in building and motivating a sales team
  • Eagerness to get mud on your boots – go to the field often and sell side by side with the field team
  • Experience with mobile money agent networks, commission-based sales networks, or rural sales networks
  • Fluency in English and French
