CTG overview

CTG staff and support humanitarian projects in fragile and conflict-affected countries around the world, providing a rapid and cost-effective service for development and humanitarian missions. Key to successful project delivery is the ability to mobilise at speed; CTG can source and deploy anyone, anywhere, in less than 2 weeks and have done so in 48 hours on a number of occasions.

Overview of position

During the 6 month internship the candidate will work in the safety & security department. This is a role for someone who aspires to work in the duty of care space in either the humanitarian or private sector.
Role objectives

  • Conduct research into relevant duty of care topics to support the business.

  • Write articles & posts on duty of care topics for CTG countries of operations.

  • Support in country safety & security teams on areas of priority policy research, drafting documents & presentations.

  • Duty of care event planning & handling.

  • Visit to a CTG country of operation to conduct field research.

  • Support the Global Risk Manager on duty of care related tasks.
Project reporting

This role reports to the Global Risk Manager.
Key competencies

  • Recent graduate in a relevant field (international relations, global security, political science) is preferred.

  • Must be fluent in English.
Team management

This role has no team management responsibility.
