Driver – Rwanda
Overview
CIFOR-ICRAF Rwanda office is seeking a reliable and experienced driver to support the Bezos Quality Tree Seed Project. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safe and timely transportation of designated officials and items, maintaining the assigned vehicle in excellent condition, and performing minor repairs as necessaryDuties and responsibilities
- Drive CIFOR-ICRAF staff and authorized personnel to designated areas
- Transport project materials and supplies to various destinations
- Maintain the vehicle in a good condition
- Do regular preventive maintenance and minor repairs where possible.
- Notify the Country Representative and Finance &Admin Officer of any major vehicle repairs
- Ensure that all required documentation for administrative use such as mileage, fuel usage are always kept up to date in the prescribed manner.
- Prepare monthly mileage and fuel reports
- Ensure that all legal, institutional and municipal requirements and dues are paid on good time and/or regularly renewed.
- Any other official duty that may be assigned.
Requirements
- Valid Rwandan driver’s license category B with a clean driving record.
- Proven experience as a driver, preferably with an international organization.
- Good knowledge of vehicle maintenance and minor repair skills.
- Strong time-management skills and ability to work under minimal supervision.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Fluency in Kinyarwanda; knowledge of English and French is an
added advantage.

Terms and conditions
•This is a Locally Recruited position. CIFOR-ICRAF offers competitive remuneration in local currency commensurate with skills and experience.•The duty station will be in Kigali, Rwanda CIFOR-ICRAF Offices.
