Senior Reporting Associate
Organizational Setting and Work Relationships
The Senior Reporting Associate will fulfil internal and external reporting requests. The incumbent is supervised by the Reporting or External Relations Officer or another professional staff depending on the staffing structure of the Office. S/he receives regular guidance and advice from the supervisor. Advice and operational support may also be received from other senior staff and support units at the Country Office / HQ. The incumbent will establish strong liaison with both internal and external parties, including Donors, UN Agencies, and Implementing and Operational partners.
The Senior Reporting Associate may supervise some support staff.

Duties
- Fulfil timely and accurately any reporting requirements within the Area of Responsibility (AoR).
- Stay abreast with the operational developments within the AoR and assist in the preparation of briefing notes and reports.
- Consolidate data and facilitate the preparation of periodic reports including Sitreps, Fact Sheets and other activity specific reports.
- Liaise with internal and external partners to gather information.
- May be requested to accompany visitors on missions to refugee sites and provide appropriate briefing, commentaries and briefing material for them.
- Work closely with Information Management Unit to ensure accurate and standard data presentation.
- Assist in the development of funding submissions, appeals and reports.
- Prepare and distribute meeting minutes.
- Consolidate and provide inputs for donor reports and inter-agency meetings.
- Support the identification and management of risks and seek to seize opportunities impacting objectives in the area of responsibility. Ensure decision making in risk based in the functional area of work. Raise risks, issues and concerns to a supervisor or to relevant functional colleague(s).

Desired Candidate Profile
• Solid knowledge and understanding of the working methods, and functioning of UN Headquarters (UNHQ) inter-governmental bodies, including the General Assembly (GA), the Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC), the Security Council (SC) and their subsidiary organs, and of UNHCR governance structure, programmatic and budgetary processes.
• Experience in building and maintaining excellent relations with a wide range of UN stakeholders, in particular in Secretariat functions, to facilitate close cooperation, information-sharing and coordination; strong networking and communication skills.
• Strong drafting skills, with a clear eye for detail and the ability to identify, summarize and report on matters of importance to UNHCR through the annual work cycles of relevant UN mechanisms; proven conscientiousness and efficiency in meeting commitments and observing deadlines. Demonstrated facility to research, select, organize and summarize information and provide guidance required for the preparation of meetings and conferences.
