Terms of Reference

1. General Background (Brief description of the national, sector-specific or other relevant context in which the individual contractor will operate)

Under the 2021-2025 Long-term Strategy, the UNHCR Korea Private Sector Partnership team (PSP Korea) remains dedicated to expediting digital transformation by implementing the UNHCR Digital ecosystem and striving to enhance data maturity and literacy in reporting and analytics. In line with these goals, PSP Korea is seeking to recruit a data analyst to fill the position that will be vacated due to the incumbent’s resignation. This role is crucial for advancing our fundraising and donor development initiatives, fostering income growth, and bolstering donor commitment.

2. Purpose and Scope of Assignment (Concise and detailed description of activities, tasks and responsibilities to be undertaken, including expected travel, if applicable)

The Senior PSP IG Assistant-Data Analysis operates under the direct supervision of a Data Management Associate. The incumbent will undertake data analysis tasks for private sector fundraising programs, encompassing the fundraising results review and campaign efficiency analysis to help fundraising campaigns and donor management programs grow based on data-driven decision-making. Additionally, she/he will be in charge of managing data marts, data quality management, analysis criteria standardization, and process management. The incumbent’s duties will include the following:
1) Analyze, prepare, and provide data, reports and insights on donor acquisition, fundraising performance, and donor retention
2) Provide data support and insights for global projects focused on donor development
3) Manage the payment process for donation withdrawals
4) Manage data mart to ensure the quality and accuracy of donor and fundraising data
5) Support the team with data management and analysis, including change management, KPI management, and data standardization
6) Perform other related duties as required

3. Monitoring and Progress Controls (Clear description of measurable outputs, milestones, key performance indicators and/or reporting requirements which will enable performance monitoring) The individual contractor, based at the UNHCR Korea office and working under the direct supervision of a Data Management Associate, will engage in strategic analysis and data
nterpretation related to donor acquisition and retention programs. This effort is anticipated to make a significant contribution to the growth of Private Sector Partnership (PSP) income, particularly in the area of Individual Giving. The insights derived from this analysis are expected to be pivotal in broadening the scope of fundraising activities and in increasing both the volume and engagement of donors. Most importantly, the contractor will be entrusted with the crucial task of upholding the highest standards of integrity in the management of donor and fundraising data.

4. Qualifications and Experience (List the required education, work experience, expertise and competencies of the individual contractor. The listed education and experience should correspond with the level at which the contract is offered.)

a. Education (Level and area of required and/or preferred education)
- Completion of high school diploma or university degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Statistics, Data Science, or other related fields
- In lieu of degree, minimum 2 or more years of relevant working experience

b. Work Experience (List number of years and area of required work experience. Clearly distinguish between required experience and experience which could be an asset.)
- Minimum 2 years of work experience for high school diploma or minimum 1 year of experience for BA or higher in the field of Data Analysis, CRM management, Marketing strategy

c. Key Competencies & Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong skills across MS Office (Excel, PPT)
- Knowledge or experience with Data Mart and BI tools (Power BI, Tableau)
- Fluency in English and Korean (both written and spoken)
