Client-Oriented Approach
- Provide technical expertise and support related to the operational unit's needs, ensuring that all systems, equipment, and infrastructure are functioning efficiently and effectively.
- Perform regular maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of technical systems or equipment, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.
- Performing tests and making necessary repairs to ensure proper functionality.
- Assist with the installation and configuration of electrical devices “such as a new fridge, microwave”, tools, or infrastructure along with necessary repairs. And performing routine checks for the generator and recording readings, as well as regular maintenance of the electrical water pump.
- Assist with the installation of the AC units in the building. The Technician will also monitor the heating system during the winter and inspect the ventilation system in the building. If any of these tasks require additional spare parts or repairs, the Technician will collaborate with the professional company handling these installations, especially where guarantees for installed parts, electrical devices, and cameras are involved.
- Additionally, the Technician should install the ICT network and support the ICT team with cabling and connecting devices.
- Ensure all installations meet UNOPS standards and comply with safety and operational guidelines.
- Maintain detailed records of technical activities, including maintenance logs, repair records, and installation reports.
- Submission of regular progress reports, including issues identified and resolved.
- Ensure accurate and timely reporting to supervisors.

Education/Experience/Language requirements
- Completion of secondary school is required.
- A relevant technical diploma or degree in the specific field (e.g., electrical engineering, civil engineering) is desirable.
- In the absence of a degree, any necessary certifications or licenses required for the specific technical role.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in the relevant technical fields.
- Ability to work with computer and office software packages (MS Office 2003 and/or newer versions) and knowledge of spreadsheet and database packages is desirable.
- Some experience in UN system organizations is desirable.
- Arabic language is required
- Basic English is required.
