Overview of position |
The Yemen office in the Amman hub is currently implementing three projects with identical scope with the same funding source in Yemen. This is the fourth phase of the project where our client will increase access to primary & secondary health services facilities (general hospitals, local health centers & therapeutic feeding centers) in Yemen, by restoring the physical infrastructure of health facilities (rehabilitation, maintenance works & minor repairs) in targeted areas. In addition, our client will be providing priority medical equipment & supplies to these targeted facilities along with training on the use of the medical equipment to the staff of the rehabilitated health facilities.
Our client will be responsible for the design & rehabilitation works of the health facilities that will increase the targeted facilities' reliapility & service capacity, ensuring highest standards in design, rehabilitation works & respect of 'state of the art' requirements for safety, sustainability, security & disability access. In addition, our client will be responsible to provide the targeted facilities with priority medical equipment & supplies, as well as strengthening capacties through conducting training & awareness raising activities.

Role objectives |
The candidate to perform his / her work in full compliance with our clients standards, guidelines & procedures where the Electrical Engineer will be responsible for the following task but will not be limited to:
Supervise specific electrical works as per the contractual provisions & the design specifications.
Ensure quantity / quality control & time schedule consistency.
Outline duties related to supervising electrical aspects of the construction site, ensuring compliance with specifications, codes & safety.
Checks contractor's set out & works, including compliance with contract specifications & quantities related to electrical works & ensures that contractors comply with their work plans to complete work within specified time frame.
Proper coordinating other engineering disciplines, contractors & stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems.
Carrying out tasks related to inspecting electrical installations, conducting tests & troubleshooting issues to ensure quality & compliance.
Provides support & guidance to the contractor & assists in resolving site problems, as necessary, in full coordination with the Project Manager & the Electrical Engineer.
Responsible for checking the quality of delivered electrical materials according to the approved materials by our client.
Checks the electrical work activities of contractor(s), measure completed electrical work.
Checks & verifies the interim payments submitted by the contractor(s) related to electrical works & submit detailed reports to the Project Manager.
Report & recommend remedial actions regarding potential delays & / or cost overruns related to electrical works to the Project Manager & the Electrical Engineer.
Prioritizing safety & ensuring adherence to relevant electrical codes, standards & regulations.
Verify that works are consistent with the project technical specifications, drawings, BoQ & inform promptly to the Engineer & Project Manager.
Close involvement in project meetings, progress reporting & coordination efforts to keep the project on schedule & within budget.
Detail any responsibilities related to communicating with clients, addressing their concerns & providing technical support or guidance.
Outline expectations for creating & maintaining accurate documentation, including drawings, specifications, reports & compliance records.
Any additional duties required as needed within the scope of the project.

This role reports to the line manager.

Key competencies |
Bachelor degree in electrical engineering with a minimum of 7 years working experience as a site engineer in rehabilitation& / or construction projects.
Experience in supervising electrical works for hospitals & health care facilities is an advantage.
Experience in the usage of computers & software packages (Autodesk, AutoCAD & Google Suite).
Very good knowledge in written & oral English & Arabic languages is required.

This contract is subjected to daily payments depending on the number of working days per month & upon completing the requested deliverables as specified and agreed with the Project Manager / Engineer, as specified & agreed with the Project Manager / Engineer.
