Functional Responsibilities
Purpose and Scope of Assignment
To monitor all humanitarian convoys to Gaza, report on convoy movements in real time, and provide timely information to JHCO management and partners on successful deliveries, challenges and delays.
Monitoring and Progress Controls
- Follow up with UNOPS on movement of humanitarian convoys from the point of dispatch until their destination and receive updates at each crossing point.
- Provide timely updates to JHCO management on the movement of each convoy and report any incidents.
- Maintain a daily record on convoy movement and notify partners on delivery or any issues.
- Update agencies and partners joining JHCO convoys on humanitarian aid priorities in coordination with the relevant parties.
- Maintain a real-time communication with the convoy escort team and update JHCO management as needed.
- Liaise and follow up with JHCO and relevant Jordanian institutions directorate on clearances as/if required.
- Support data inputs intothe Mechanism database and promote increased engagement from partners for accurate and timely reporting
- Perform any other tasks as requested.
Education/Experience/Language requirements
Education
- Completion of secondary school is required.
- First University Degree in Social Sciences, International Relations, Project Management or equivalent disciplines is desirable but not required
- A recognised qualification in supply chain management preferred.
Work Experience
- Mininume of five (5) years of experience in Humanitarian Affairs or Coordination, Communications, Programme Support, International Relations or Project Management is required.
- Experience in logistics, procurement, support service, administration or other related area is required.
- Experience working within the humanitarian cluster system is desired.
- Progressive experience in administration and client service is highly desirable;
- Experience in working with government entities and UN organisations is desired.
Language:

Fluency in both oral and written communication in Arabic and English is required.
