About this position

We are looking for a strategic and forward-thinking Leadership and Organizational Culture Specialist, who will be responsible for helping shape our organizational culture and leadership practices, ensuring that our people are engaged, empowered, and aligned with our core cultural attributes and leadership standards.  

You will work in the Learning and Development Division part of Human Resources Department. This Division is responsible for the organizational effectiveness and staff development strategies for the IDB Group. HRD is responsible for the administration and development of the human capital of the IDB Group. The main functions of the Department include running the entire employee lifecycle, leading all aspects of the implementation of the People Strategy, and implementing programs and methodologies in direct support of the IDB’s mission. HRD is also dedicated to delivering human-centered experiences and strategically partnering with professionals who are passionate about improving lives in Latin America and the Caribbean. What you’ll do:  

  • Lead culture and leadership change initiatives, ensuring clear and consistent activities across the organization.
  • Lead and manage the change plan to develop and maintain a culture framework that promotes our unique cultural attributes across all levels of the organization.
  • Partner with HRBPs, HR Centers of Expertise and leadership teams to ensure cultural alignment across all employee touchpoints (e.g., recruitment, onboarding, performance management, employee engagement, and more).
  • Collaborate with senior leaders to identify leadership gaps and provide solutions for addressing these needs through training, development, coaching and others.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams (HR, Digital Transformation, Country Offices, senior leadership, and others) to ensure cultural and leadership strategies are integrated into broader organizational goals.
  • Use data and analytics to measure the success of culture and leadership programs, providing actionable insights to senior leadership and stakeholders 

 

What you'll need

  • Education: master’s degree (or equivalent advanced degree) in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or other fields relevant to the responsibilities of the role.
  • Experience: At least four years of progressive experience in a role focused on leadership development, talent management, organizational development, or a related field, in a multinational environment.
  • Languages: Proficiency in English and one of the other Bank official languages (Spanish, French or Portuguese) is required.

 

Requirements

Type of contract and duration

 

  • International staff contract, 36 months initially, renewable upon mutual agreement.
