About this position
The BPG group (Business Programs Group) is looking for a Data Analytics and Visualization Consultant to support the IDB’s data excellence objectives. This position will primarily focus on an ongoing process to standardize and consolidate a wide range of financial, corporate, and operational data models and dashboards in close collaboration with the FIN Data Analytics team.
What you’ll do
The chosen candidate(s) will work on some or all the following tasks, as well as related priorities that could arise:
- Migrate existing Tableau dashboards to Power BI including migration of underlying data extracts making use of SQL, Power query, and DAX functions.
- Restructure as needed existing data models in SQL for financial modelling to improve data output structures for reporting and analytics.
- Minimizes gaps, redundancies, rework, and duplication of efforts by working closely with FIN business users and stakeholders.
- Provide project status updates and discuss concerns, work in close collaboration with the Data Analytics team of the department.
- Implement the new look-and-feel format in existing dashboards in alignment to the standardization and federated model for FIN.
- Analyze finance data structures by evaluating data quality, usability, and data governance compliance to support FIN Stewardship data excellence framework.
What you'll need
- Education: Bachelors Degree in Data Sciences, Business Analytics, or similar fields from an accredited University. Preferably with a background in Finance.
- Experience: 2 years of combined experience in data analysis, financial modelling, data governance, IT project management.
- Languages: Be proficient in English and Spanish. Preferably one of the Bank’s additional official languages.
Requirements
• Citizenship: You are a citizen of one of our 48-member countries with residency or legal permit to work in your place of residence.
• Consanguinity: You have no family members (up to the fourth degree of consanguinity and second degree of affinity, including spouse) working at the IDB, IDB Invest, or IDB Lab.
Type of contract and duration
National Consultant (Local Remote Modality), 12 months (up to 36 months) 100% remotely from place of residence of selected candidate and services are expected to be provided from a country where the IDB Group has offices.
