Overview of position

CTG is recruiting for Chelsea Energie (our sister company) who is currently looking for qualified candidates to a fill position to manage a 140 MW HFO plant, expanding to include 7 additional power plants totalling 112 MW.

Role objectives
  • Lead & supervise in the carrying out of all electrical & instrumentation maintenance activities for the engine generator sets, auxiliary equipment, whether predictive, preventive or corrective maintenance based on outlined procedures & in compliance with the established standards to ensure their proper functionality.

  • Coordinate with the Maintenance Manager in carrying out all other scheduled predictive, preventive & corrective maintenance activities on other electrical & instrumentation maintenance of the plant facility.

  • Monitor all ongoing electrical & instrumentation activities being carried out by contractors in the plant to ensure that all company procedures are followed & the results are satisfactory & comply with all the specifications outlined in the contract.

  • In coordination with the Maintenance Manager, to identify & prepare a list of all needed electrical & instrumentation spare parts, tools, materials & other supplies for procurement to ensure their availability when needed to complete all planned & unplanned maintenance works on time.

  • Coordinate with the Maintenance Manager regarding work plans to determine maintenance priorities based on necessities not to disrupt the plant's smooth operation.

  • Prepare & submit daily, weekly & monthly progress reports to the Maintenance Manager on all completed & ongoing maintenance activities, including exceptional cases under his / her responsibility. 

  • In coordination with the Maintenance Manager, assist in preparing the annual maintenance budget for electrical & instrumentation by always taking into account the most economical way without sacrificing the quality.

  • Interpret drawings, diagrams, charts & other special instructions for electrical & instrumentation of the engine generator sets, auxiliaries & other plant equipment to ensure correct & fast troubleshooting in case of abnormalities.

  • Work on the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) & record all completed jobs under his responsibility for future reference & history of all activities done in the plant are correctly registered.

  • Record & maintain all electrical, instrumentation maintenance activities on a logbook for future reference. 

  • Perform inspection of materials in stock & equipment purchased by the plant to ensure compliance with requirements.

  • Comply with all environment, health & safety established procedures & standards of the company to preserve the integrity, security of personnel & equipment or the plant facility as a whole.

  • Perform other works that his superiors may assign.

Project reporting

This role reports to the line manager.

Key competencies
  • Electrical or electronics engineer with at least 4 years work experience as electrical, instrumentation & control supervisor on a large capacity gas or diesel engine power plant preferably under O&M contract.

  • Preferably have very good knowledge of PLC.

  • Computer literate & must know working on any CMMS software.

Team management

Team management experience is required for this role.
