Duties and Responsibilities

Primary Duties and Responsibilities A. Training Delivery 1. Facilitate Training Sessions: Deliver engaging and interactive training sessions covering essential digital literacy skills, including computer operation, internet navigation, online communication, and basic software applications. Adapt training methods to accommodate diverse learning styles and levels of digital proficiency among students. 2. Curriculum Development: Collaborate with the Head of the Digital Literacy Programme to develop and update the curriculum, ensuring it aligns with current digital trends and the needs of the students. Create and utilize educational materials, such as presentations, handouts, and interactive exercises, to enhance the learning experience. B. Student Support 1. Mentor and Guide Students: Provide one-on-one support to students, addressing their questions and challenges as they learn new digital skills. Encourage a positive and supportive classroom environment that fosters student engagement and confidence. 2. Assess Student Progress: Evaluate student performance through quizzes, practical exercises, and feedback sessions, providing constructive feedback to aid their development. Maintain accurate records of attendance and performance to track student progress. C. Community Engagement 1. Promote Digital Literacy: Advocate for the importance of digital literacy in today’s job market and everyday life, encouraging students to embrace technology as a valuable tool. Participate in outreach activities to promote the Digital Literacy Programme within the community. D. Collaboration and Reporting 1. Collaborate with Team Members: Work closely with other trainers and staff to ensure a cohesive and integrated learning experience for all students. Participate in regular team meetings to discuss program updates, student feedback, and best practices in training delivery. 2. Reporting: Provide regular updates and reports to the Head of the Digital Literacy Programme on student progress, curriculum effectiveness, and training outcomes. E. Curriculum Development and Adaptation 1. Refine the Curriculum: Refine the curriculum after each cohort, ensuring it aligns with emerging trends and meets student needs. Develop and deliver educational materials such as presentations, handouts, and interactive exercises tailored to foundational digital skills. F. Training Delivery 1. Facilitate Training for Cohorts: Facilitate training for one cohort of 20 students Deliver interactive sessions covering essential digital skills, such as computer operations, internet navigation, online communication, and basic software use. G. Student Support and Engagement 1. Provide Mentorship and Support: Provide one-on-one mentorship and support to students, addressing their questions and challenges effectively. Foster an inclusive and engaging learning environment that encourages participation and collaboration. H. Student Assessment 1. Evaluate Student Performance: Evaluate student performance, maintain detailed records of student attendance and performance, tracking progress for all three cohorts.

Qualifications/special skills

Bachelor’s degree in education, Information Technology, or a related field. Minimum 5 years of experience with technical training and/or educational training with student support. Strong understanding of digital tools, software applications, and online platforms.

Adaptability and a willingness to embrace new teaching methodologies Desirable Qualifications Previous experience in teaching, training, or tutoring, particularly in a digital literacy or educational setting, is preferred. Conditions of Service Total remuneration: 9,252.00 USD – disbursed in monthly installments upon completion of assignments, in addition to indemnities of 8.33%
