Duties and Responsibilities
Primary Duties and Responsibilities A. Training Delivery 1. Facilitate Training Sessions: Deliver engaging and interactive training sessions covering essential digital literacy skills, including computer operation, internet navigation, online communication, and basic software applications. Adapt training methods to accommodate diverse learning styles and levels of digital proficiency among students. 2. Curriculum Development: Collaborate with the Head of the Digital Literacy Programme to develop and update the curriculum, ensuring it aligns with current digital trends and the needs of the students. Create and utilize educational materials, such as presentations, handouts, and interactive exercises, to enhance the learning experience. B. Student Support 1. Mentor and Guide Students: Provide one-on-one support to students, addressing their questions and challenges as they learn new digital skills. Encourage a positive and supportive classroom environment that fosters student engagement and confidence. 2. Assess Student Progress: Evaluate student performance through quizzes, practical exercises, and feedback sessions, providing constructive feedback to aid their development. Maintain accurate records of attendance and performance to track student progress. C. Community Engagement 1. Promote Digital Literacy: Advocate for the importance of digital literacy in today’s job market and everyday life, encouraging students to embrace technology as a valuable tool. Participate in outreach activities to promote the Digital Literacy Programme within the community. D. Collaboration and Reporting 1. Collaborate with Team Members: Work closely with other trainers and staff to ensure a cohesive and integrated learning experience for all students. Participate in regular team meetings to discuss program updates, student feedback, and best practices in training delivery. 2. Reporting: Provide regular updates and reports to the Head of the Digital Literacy Programme on student progress, curriculum effectiveness, and training outcomes. E. Professional Development 1. Continuous Learning: Stay current with trends in digital literacy, technology, and educational methodologies to continually improve training practices. Engage in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and knowledge. F. Curriculum Development and Adaptation 1. Refine the Curriculum: Refine the curriculum for three cohorts, ensuring it aligns with emerging trends and meets student needs. Develop and deliver educational materials such as presentations, handouts, and interactive exercises tailored to foundational digital skills. G. Training Delivery 1. Facilitate Training for Cohorts: Facilitate training for one cohort of 30-35 students. Deliver interactive sessions covering essential digital skills, such as computer operations, internet navigation, online communication, and basic software use. H. Student Support and Engagement 1. Provide Mentorship and Support: Provide one-on-one mentorship and support to students, addressing their questions and challenges effectively. Foster an inclusive and engaging learning environment that encourages participation and collaboration. I. Student Assessment 1. Evaluate Student Performance: Evaluate student performance through quizzes, exercises, and practical assessments, providing constructive feedback. Maintain detailed records of student attendance and performance, tracking progress for all three cohorts. J. Programme Evaluation and Feedback 1. Collect and Analyze Feedback: Collect and analyze student feedback after each cohort, identifying areas for improvement and making actionable recommendations to the programme head. Contribute to a final evaluation report at the end of the contract term, summarizing outcomes and achievements. K. Collaboration and Teamwork 1. Participate in Team Meetings: Actively participate in team meetings, sharing updates on student progress and discussing curriculum improvements. Collaborate with other trainers to ensure a cohesive and integrated training experience. Technical Requirements Full Stack Developer (MERN Stack): Develop and maintain web applications using the MERN stack. Design and implement server-side logic using Node.js, Express.js, and SQL. Build responsive and user-friendly front-end interfaces using React.js. Integrate with MongoDB or other databases for data storage and retrieval. Collaborate with UI/UX designers and other team members to ensure seamless integration of front-end and back-end components. Write reusable and efficient code and implement best practices for performance optimization. Participate in code reviews and maintain code quality standards. Stay up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies related to web development. Full Stack Developer (LAMP Stack): Develop and maintain web applications using the LAMP stack (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP). Design and implement server-side logic using PHP and integrate with MySQL for data storage and retrieval. Create and maintain efficient database structures and optimize query performance. Write clean, well-documented, and reusable code. Participate in code reviews and maintain code quality standards. Stay up to date with new technologies and best practices in web development. WordPress Developer: Develop and maintain WordPress-based websites, themes, and plugins. Customize WordPress themes and templates to meet client requirements. Integrate third-party plugins and APIs as needed. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to WordPress installations, themes, and plugins. Ensure websites are optimized for performance, security, and SEO.
Qualifications/special skills
Bachelor’s degree in education, Information Technology, or a related field. Minimum 5 years of experience in web development, with a strong focus on both front-end and back-end technologies and mentoring or educational student support role. Strong knowledge of modern web development frameworks and technologies (e.g., MERN and LAMP stacks, React, Node.js, PHP, SQL/NoSQL databases, WordPress). Strong understanding of digital tools, software applications, and online platforms.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a passion for empowering students. Conditions of Service Total remuneration: 9,252.00 USD – disbursed in monthly installments upon completion of assignments, in addition to indemnities of 8.33% Contract Duration: 06 Months from 01 March 2025 to 31 August 2025 (extendable according to performance and availability of funds) Duty station: The incumbent will be located in Lebanon Digital Hub.
