The Barcelona Institute for Global Health (ISGlobal) is a cutting-edge institute that addresses global public health challenges through research, the translation of research into public policies, and education. WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We are looking for an organized and detail-oriented Accounting Assistant to join our finance team. As an Accounting Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting daily accounting operations, ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial data. This position is ideal for our development in Mozambique.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist in the preparation and processing of invoices, payments, and receipts.
- Maintain and update accounting records and ledgers.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Support the preparation of tax documents and compliance with regulations.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable transactions.
- Provide general administrative support to the accounting department as needed.

PROFILE
- Vocational Training (FP) in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Previous experience in a similar role as an expatriate.
- Proficiency in Excel.
- Ability to handle confidential financial information.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS

LANGUAGE
- Native Spanish.
- English and Portuguese are valued.
CONDITIONS
- Duration: 1 year

- Salary: €20,400 - €22,666 (gross annual)

SELECTION PROCESS
The selection process is designed in two phases:
1. Technical interview with the hiring team to assess the candidate’s skills and CV.
2. Meeting with HR with the finalists to finalize the profile evaluation and discuss contractual and institutional matters.
If necessary, a technical test may be conducted. A Competency Psychological Assessment will be required for structural or cross-cutting roles.
Following OTM-R principles, a gender-balanced selection panel will be formed for each vacancy at the start of the process. After reviewing applications, the panel will begin interviews, which will include at least one technical interview and one administrative interview. A profile questionnaire and a technical exercise may also be required during the process.
