What we are looking for

Our diverse and dedicated team is currently seeking someone to join us in managing our Free Shop that is offering hygiene supplies. Key responsibilities

The Free Shop Officer will be expected to carry out the following tasks:

  • Fundraising and Partnership Development: Write proposals, connect with existing partners, and cultivate new partnerships to sustain and grow the Free Shop.

  • Shift Management: While taking shifts yourself, you will be supported by an amazing team. You will ensure shifts are filled efficiently, maintaining the Free Shop’s operations.

  • General Operations: Ensure all aspects of the Free Shop are running responsibly and in line with Habibi.Works' mission and values.

  • Escalation and Problem-Solving: Be proactive in addressing operational challenges and manage any issues within the Free Shop in a supportive and organized manner.

  • Experience in managing or organizing community spaces, such as free shops or distribution systems, is ideal.
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and capable of staying organized and calm under pressure.
  • A valid driver’s license and ability to drive for procurement and logistics.
  • Strong communication skills, with an emphasis on empathy and inclusivity
  • A commitment of at least 12 months
