About this position

We are looking for a client-focused, proactive, and solutions-oriented Human Resources Consultant. As a new employee experience consultant, you will support new employees become familiar with our unique culture and provide the knowledge and resources necessary to reduce the time required to reach maximum productivity.

The selected consultant will ensure that new employees have a positive first impression of the organization, helping them navigate the institution and better understand who we are, how we work, and what to expect.

You will work in the Talent Management Division, part of the Human Resources Department. This team is responsible for fostering a results-oriented and mission-driven organization with a culture where everyone brings their best and authentic selves to work, willing to try new approaches.

What you’ll do

• Leverage technology to provide support for new employees from contract signature until they are fully onboarded
• Support process improvement documentation for on-boarding and off-boarding procedures
• Serve as the point of contact for inquiries and requests from new employees. 
• Maintain an open and constructive dialogue with new employees. Coordinate new hire’s requests and questions with relevant SMEs.
• Conduct check-ins with new employees to address their questions on topics such as health insurance, housing, relocation, transportation, and visa procedures.
• Continuously improving the onboarding experience by identifying and addressing the pain points of new employees 
• Monitoring and reporting if metrics related the new employee experience.

What you'll need

• Education: Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent advanced degree) in human resources management, business administration or other fields relevant to the responsibilities of the role.
• Experience: At least 2 years of progressive experience in human resources or related fields
• Languages: Proficiency in English and one of the other Bank official languages (Spanish, French or Portuguese) is required.

Requirements

•    Citizenship: You are either a citizen of Costa Rica or a citizen of one of our 48-member countries with residency or legal permit to work in Costa Rica.

•    Consanguinity: You have no family members (up to the fourth degree of consanguinity and second degree of affinity, including spouse) working at the IDB, IDB Invest, or IDB Lab.
