Context
Non-Family Duty Station
Task description
Within the delegated authority and under the supervision of the Head of RCO or his/her designated mandated representative(s), the UN Volunteer will support the following tasks:
• Participate in the development, implementation and evaluation of assigned programmes /projects or initiatives, etc.; monitors and analyzes programme/project development and implementation and resource mobilization; reviews relevant documents and reports; identifies problems and issues to be addressed and proposes corrective actions; liaises with relevant parties; identifies and tracks follow-up actions.
• Provide substantive support to the Resident Coordinator (RC) and Head of Office (HoRCO) on planning, coordination and management of UNCT.
• Support country joint programming processes such as Results and Thematic Working Groups (TWGs) as well as UNRCO products including country level annual CCA updates.
• Support the RCO in data collection and information sharing.
• Contributes to UNCT reporting requirements within the UN System, following United Nations Sustainable Development Group’s guidelines and an-nual requirements.
• Assists with day-to-day administration of the RCO (e.g., operational travel programme; monitoring accounts and payment to vendors and individual contractors for services; physical space planning; identification of office technology needs).
• Performs other duties that may be required by the supervisor.
