Malteser International is the international humanitarian relief agency of the Sovereign Order of Malta. For over 60 years we provide relief and recovery for people during and following conflicts and disasters around the world. Christian values and humanitarian principles form the foundations of our work. In over 30 countries in Africa, the Americas, Asia, Europeand the Middle East, we support people in need  regardless of their religion, origin or political convictions.

In Uganda, we have been working for nearly 30 years to build resilience and restore dignity through interventions in Health, Water, Sanitation & Hygiene (WASH), and Food & Nutrition Security (FNS). Partnering with over 10 national organisations, our efforts currently focus on nationwide health and the refugee response in West Nile and Southwest Uganda, supporting refugees from South Sudan and the Democratic Republic of Congo and host communities.

For its work in Kampala, Uganda, Malteser International is looking for two (02) Logistic Officers – National Positions.

As a Logistic Officer, you will support to strenghten the logistics departments of it's country office.

Your responsibilities:

  • Procurement
  • Supply chain
  • Fleet/Transport management
  • Store/Stock Management and inventories
  • Asset Management and inventories
  • Information Communication Technology support
  • Administration support

Your profile:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics & Procurement or related fields
  • A member of a professional body (CIPS/CILT) is an added advantage
  • 3 years’ experience in a similar position
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Valid driver license prefered 

What we offer:

  • Start Date: Immediately
  • Duty Station: Kampala
  • Duration of contract: 1 year with possible extension subject to donor funding
  • Salary range (Gross)- 5,000,000 to 7,000,000 UGX depending on qualification and experience, insurance package and 13th pay cheque
