Background/Context

Description of Responsibilities / Scope of Work
Under the supervision of the Programme Associate of the Women, Peace, and Security and Humanitarian Action in the Philippines, the consultant will undertake the review and verification of the supporting documents for FACE Form under the WPS unit under Women Peace and Humanitarian Fund (WPHF) and other projects when necessary.
She/He is expected to accomplish the following specific tasks:
- Consolidate verification documents submitted by WPHF partners and review completeness and accuracy of the documents.
- Review and verify all related FACE financial transactions, activities, and documentation.
- Identify corrective actions as needed and reporting any unusual activities;
- Provide operation and financial management guidance to WPHF Partners in accordance with existing UN Women financial and operation rules and regulation/policies.
- Provide support in the preparation of FACE forms
- Organize a filing system for FACE report and its supporting documents
- Support on project partner audit as needed

Education and Certification:
- Completion of secondary education is required
- Bachelor’s degree in finance and accounting is desirable.
Experience:
- At least 6 years of progressively responsible experience in reviewing liquidations/verification documents.
- Experience on FACE Form or UN partner agreement financial documents review and finalization is an asset.
- Experience in working in a computer environment using multiple office software package is required.
- Demonstrated experience in providing support to a team is desirable.
- Previous work experience in the UN and other development organizations is an asset.
Languages:
- Fluency in English and Filipino.
- Knowledge in BARMM language/dialect is an asset.
