About this position
We are looking for a dynamic, collaborative, and results-oriented Connect Americas Business Development & Strategic Engagement Consultant. As a Business Development & Strategic Engagement Consultant you will support the implementation and growth of the ConnectAmericas ecosystem by contributing to business development, marketing and communications initiatives, digital platform operations, partnership management, event coordination, user engagement strategies, and data-driven analysis to expand opportunities for companies across Latin America and the Caribbean.
You will work in the Private Sector, Synergies, and Trade (PST) Unit, part of the Productivity, Trade, and Innovation (PTI) Department. This team is responsible for promoting private sector development, trade, innovation, investment, and entrepreneurship initiatives that enhance productivity and competitiveness across Latin America and the Caribbean. Through ConnectAmericas and other strategic programs, the team supports companies by facilitating access to business opportunities, training, financing, strategic partnerships, and international markets.
What you’ll do
- Support business development initiatives and strategic growth activities.
- Execute marketing and communication campaigns across digital channels.
- Assist with digital platform development and user experience improvements.
- Coordinate audience growth, user acquisition, and engagement strategies.
- Organize virtual and in-person networking and business matchmaking events.
- Develop and curate relevant content, webinars, courses, and training programs.
- Build and manage partnerships with corporations, universities, NGOs, and government entities.
- Support investment, trade, and SME internationalization initiatives, including ConnectAmericas programs.
- Collaborate with partners and investors to strengthen platform adoption and integration.
- Coordinate with external providers and support additional strategic projects as required.
What you'll need
- Education: Bachelor's degree in International Trade, Business Administration or other fields relevant to the responsibilities of the role.
- Experience: At least 2 years of progressive experience in business development focused on Small and Medium Sized Enterprises (SMEs), regional integration, international trade and or public-private partnerships.
- Languages: Proficiency in English and Spanish, spoken and written, is required.

Type of contract and duration
International consultant Full-Time, 5.5 months (up to 48 months).
