Potential Vacancy - Chief Technical Advisor, Enhancing Nutrition of Upland Farming Families project
Vientiane (Lao )
- Fixed term, 3 years
- This position is contingent on project funding being approved
CARE is a leading international humanitarian aid organisation fighting global poverty, with a special focus on working with women and girls to bring lasting change to their communities.
CARE Australia has a potential vacancy in our Laos Country Office for a Chief Technical Advisor (CTA). To further build our portfolio of food and nutrition security programming, CARE is currently developing a submission for a call for proposals to implement the Enhancing Nutrition of Upland Farming Families project. The project is expected to improve food production and diversity at household level; to increase women’s, in particular mothers’, knowledge about nutrition and health care; to improve physical and economic access to nutritious and diversified food; to prevent food and nutrition insecurity; and to work on the policy, strategic and institutional framework. The CTA will have overall responsibility for the management of the project and the achievement of the desired outcomes.
Your experience in agriculture, food security, nutrition or a closely related field and extensive international development project management experience including in gender/women’s empowerment related programming will make you a strong contender for this position. Your relationship and capacity building skills will be complemented by your experience in the design, management, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of international donor-supported programs as well as experience managing complex activities and the ability to successfully deliver desired outcomes within defined timelines.
