Logistics Coordinator (Inventory Management System roll out)
We're currently looking for a Logistics Coordinator (Inventory Management System Rollout) to join us on a 6 month fixed term contract; the role can be based in anyone of our country offices within the West and Central Africa region.
As the Logistics Coordinator you'll play a key role in the delivery of a new Inventory Management IT system which will enable save the Children to provide up to date stock reporting to programme staff, and meet donor and financial regulatory reporting requirements more effectively. You'll work closely with the Logistics teams in the London office and West and Central Africa region and be in charge of rolling out the new system in 2 to 3 specific countries within the region. You'll develop and review training material in both French and English, advise on and develop implementation strategies, develop an action plan with clear activities and deadlines, visit the field offices and implement the software in all of their warehouses; reporting on progress and any issues.
You will receive training to familiarise yourself with the system and gain an understanding of all its functionalities and associated business processes.
To be successful in this role you'll bring proven experience in a Supply Chain or IT role, have experience of warehousing and inventory management procedures and processes and bring the ability to analyse information; to think and plan strategically. You'll have strong IT skills, specifically in MS Excel, and fluency in French and English. Previous INGO experience at field level along with knowledge of donors and humanitarian warehousing procedures is highly desirable.
