PSI. LAC is known as the innovation lab a place where exciting new ideas in global health are tested. Currently, we have programs operating in Guatemala, the Dominican Republic, Nicaragua, El Salvador, Honduras, Costa Rica, Belize, Panama, the Caribbean, Haiti and Paraguay. Most of our network members engage in social marketing of health products that are self-sustainable and we have social franchises in Guatemala, Nicaragua, El Salvador, Honduras and the Dominican Republic with the goal of making them sustainable.
We are looking for a Financial Analyst to help us provide support to PSI's social marketing programs in the Latin America and Caribbean Region. We are looking for someone with finance acumen and strong business and analytical abilities (especially with numbers) and the belief that “the devil is in details”. An ideal candidate has INGO experience, experience with creating and managing budgets, worked on preparing and reviewing financial reports, etc.
Sound like you? Read on. Your contribution **Financial Sub-Award Management You will Initiate and track payments for sub recipients. You will work with PSI's Accounting team to reconcile actual expenditures against advance payments. You will track spending and review sub recipient burn rates against sub agreement terms and prime agreement contractual obligations.
You will ensure country offices correctly and consistently review financial reports and ensure sub recipient expenditures are able to be incorporated into prime award financial reports. You will liaise with Associate Program Managers to ensure that sub award budgets and payments align with donor budgets and program deliverables. Billing You will review all donor invoices and coordinate the review of Accounts Payable transactions making sure open Purchase Orders get paid and commitments get closed before final donor invoices. You will also help us monitor our Accounts Receivables to ensure we are getting paid! Reporting & Analysis: You will support updating financial management dashboards (burn rates, program income monitoring, etc.) Budgets You will assist in the development of new budgets for proposals. Liaison: You will serve as the main liaison on financial issues between the Regional Department, Accounting Department and field offices. Our needs Education Master's degree in Finance (MBA, MS, etc.) strongly preferred; however, equivalent experience may suffice Experience At least two years of professional work experience Details You pay attention to them and focus on quality and consistency Language** You are highly proficient in Spanish.
