DRR Supervisor (Filipino Nationals Only)

ACF is an international non-governmental, private, apolitical, non-religious and non-profit organization created in 1979. Its goal is to combat hunger and dangerous situations that threaten men, women and children. Currently 500 expats and more than 5,000 employees are working for ACF in more than forty-six countries working in projects concerning four areas of focus: Nutrition, Food, Security and Livelihood, Water, Sanitation and Hygiene, Disaster Risk Reduction Management, Advocacy and Good Governance.

General Responsibilities

**To assist the HOP in terms of management, coordination and implementation all the activities of the Urban Disaster Risk Reduction project funded under ECHO-HIP 2016, which will be implemented in Quezon City, Valenzuela City and Malabon City

Objective 1: To manage, coordinate, implement, monitor and evaluate all the activities in ACF result under the project particularly in the specific area/location of assignment;


  • Assist the HoP in planning, implementation, conduct of assessments and surveys and monitoring and evaluating of DRR deliverables under ACF result in coordination with the Head of Project and DRR Referent
  • Coordinate with local partners in the assigned area/location particularly to City and Barangay LGUs and other stakeholders to ensure timely implementation of the planned activities;
  • Assist DRR HoP in the development of processes, templates and tools specific to ACF result;
  • Lead/Co-Lead in the conduct capacity building activities, assessments and surveys, planning and other sessions and workshops related to project result;
  • To represent, maintain, and reinforce professional relationships with other NGOs, agencies, local authorities and other partners in the area of assignment; Any other task required to achieve the project objective

Objective 2 :

To prepare work plan/reports and consolidate of documents


  • In coordination with HoP, prepare weekly and monthly planning and updating of progress and achievements according to agreed LFA the project to be shared to the HOP;

  • Secure and maintain database of photos, videos and other multimedia documents related to the project for capitalization in the area of assignment;

  • Prepare meeting minutes of Consortium and LGU partners , training proceedings and other reports as requested by HoP and DRR Referent

· Consolidation and archiving of SoVs and project documents

Objective 3 : Participate to seminars, conferences activities related with DRR in the Philippines as necessary


  • As requested and work plans actively participate in DRR-related events in or outside of Manila
  • Prepare and provide inputs during training and workshops as requested by other organizations with duly approval from HOP;
  • Disseminate relevant project and other related information to the DRR consortium team and Manila level as necessary

Objective 4: Reporting & Security


  • Adhere to the Mission Reporting system (APR) and submit on time the reports requested by the HOP; Respect the Security rules of ACF and coordinate with the Head of Project for any security issues relating to work

Objective 5: Emergency Response

Tasks: Be able to render service especially in emergency response in case of disasters in the Philippines as the mission requires;

§ Project Based Employment


A degree in social science, environmental science, natural resource management, or other related discipline;

· Experience of Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Project, with adequate understanding on Livelihood, social protection and micro-insurance

· Experience in project management on DRR and any related context

· Experience in project cycle management, capacity building and budget management

· At least 3 years’ experience in similar position or implementing DRR projects;

· Experience in participative planning, surveys and assessments

· Experience working in areas with volatile security contexts with capacity to face a stressful environment (preferred)

· A team player/builder with strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills and able to perform under pressure

· Good English language in written and spoken is essential apart from Filipino

· Computer skills in MS-Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and internet)

· To be based in designated City of operation;
