The Group Finance Department at the International Headquarters (IH) supports the operations of Plan International in fifty two programme countries, four regional offices and the Headquarters itself as well as the twenty National Organisations which are the independent members of Plan International. The Group Finance department provides financial accounting, reporting and planning services, treasury and the financial systems, processes and control structure to support the €700million global operations.
The Financial Accountant is responsible for Central Plan International accounting and for supporting the consolidation of PIan International and its subsidiaries
Responsibilities will include;
Ensuring that group level financial accounting is undertaken accurately and on time for PIan International
Acting as a key business user (subject matter expert) of Plan International’s SAP integrated projects, grants and financial system and of the SAP BPC consolidation and reporting system
Providing financial reports to support the preparation of the monthly results, quarterly forecasts and year end results
Do you have what it takes?
A part qualified accountant or with the willingness to pursue an accounting qualification you will have knowledge of financial accounting and some knowledge of financial accounting controls. You will have strong systems skills, including experience with SAP. A self-starter, you will be able to work on your own initiative and take ownership for completing tasks whilst also building strong working relationships with others, particularly finance and grants staff in other Plan locations.

Location: International Headquarters in Woking, Surrey. Approximately 23 minutes from London Waterloo.
