Community Support Worker

Gaziantep (Turkey) | Ankara

The Community Support Worker will support existing rehabilitation team beneficiaries. Community Support Workers will also work with existing IMC Static Rehab Partners to promote holistic rehabilitation

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
Should include; • Provide psychosocial support for persons with disabilities in individual, group and community settings • Design and plan group support sessions with the participation of beneficiaries • Facilitate Group Support sessions, Peer to Peer Activities and Trainings • Participate in the planning and facilitation of community based MHPSS activities • Detect additional needs of clients and make referrals as necessary • Evaluate client satisfaction and quality of care provided; • Maintain current and comprehensive documentation and reporting. • Provide regular updates and reports to management as required; contribute to donor reports and internal IMC reports as required; • Any other tasks as assigned by the Rehabilitation Manager

Knowledge and Experience:
Should include; • Fluency in written and spoken Arabic (English and Turkish are also desirable). • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint. • Experience working in the social service field, as a School Counsellor or with a Psychological background (min 6 months experience). • Ability to work independently and responsibly. • Experience working with children and women.
