The Norwegian Refugee Council has approximately 5000 committed and competent employees involved in projects across four continents. In addition, NRC runs one of the world’s largest standby rosters -NORCAP, with 650 professionals, ready to be deployed on 72 hours notice when a crisis occurs

We are looking for Database Administrative Officer in ICLA Department.

Job description

  • Implement and maintain ICLA Database and related procedures
  • Ensure adherence to NRC’s policies and procedures
  • Supervise and train ICLA team in relation to Database processing and utilization
  • Implement and maintain a filing system for ICLA related documentation
  • General follow up of the NRC routines in relation to ICLA project documentation
  • Carry out periodic audits for inventory obtained and used in the ICLA project
  • Provide general administrative and operational support to the ICLA programme
  • Receive information from ICLA Technical Specialists with consequent entry of the data into the Database
  • Ensure regular monitoring and check up of the entered data with actual Beneficiary Intake Forms
  • Ensure proper filing and archiving of the Beneficiary Intake Forms
  • Ensure that Database applications, data storage and regular backups are configured and maintained
  • Implement and update a data disaster recovery plan (back up)
  • Ensure installation and maintenance of protection services (anti-viruses and firewalls)
  • Train and develop ICLA staff’s skills in relation to use of the Database
  • Ensure proper maintenance of the ICLA project inventory
  • Supervise programme files and archive
  • Submit regular activity reports to ICLA Programme Development Manager
  • Perform any other tasks as requested by ICLA Programme Development Manager

Qualifications

  • Generic professional competencies:
  • Experience from administrative work at Officer level
  • Previous experience from working in complex and volatile contexts
  • Documented results related to the position’s responsibilities
  • Knowledge of English will be an advantage

  • Context/ Specific skills, knowledge and experience:
  • Good knowledge of the context in Ukraine
  • Good knowledge of the Ukrainian and Russian languages
  • Preferably high education with background in law or similar
  • Experience of working with various data entries, systematization and analyses
  • Good Knowledge of the software programs (MS Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint)
  • Preferably having valid driving license
