Consortium Programme Manager (Education)

£45,291 per annum

2-4 year fixed term contract (dependent on project duration)

We have been building powerful partnerships for children for over 75 years, and are now active in more than 70 countries.

Plan International UK is seeking to build its education programme management capacity, with applicants being considered for specific roles that are anticipated in the coming months, conditional upon securing donor funding.

As Consortium Programme Manager (Education), you will provide overall coordination of a multi-million pound project funded by one of our institutional donors (e.g. DFID, EC). You will coordinate activities across one or more target countries to ensure the efficient and effective delivery of the programme and reporting to donors in line with the project contract. Working closely with consortium partners, you will represent the consortium at UK and international level to all relevant stakeholders, including the project steering committee.

You will have extensive experience of managing complex international development projects in close collaboration with other NGOs or private sector agencies, with responsibility for multi-million pound budgets. You will have proven experience in education, (particularly in girls’ education) be able to demonstrate how you have used and shared programme learning to improve practice.

With experience of living and working in developing countries, you will be willing to travel to the programme country or countries for up to 25% of the time.
