Title:                     Grants & Partnership Intern (One in Sana'a & One in Aden)
Location:              DRC Sana’a / Aden
Report to:             Partnership Officer 
 
 
Background and purpose: 
The Danish Refugee Council (DRC) has been providing relief and development services in the Horn of Africa since 1997. Using a protection of human rights framework, DRC has mainly focused on Somalis who are displaced by conflict. Programmes include protection, livelihoods, food and NFI distribution, water and sanitation, and advocacy amongst others. DRC Yemen has been providing relief and development services in Yemen since 2008. DRC has mainly focused on refugees and migrants displaced by conflict and natural disasters. 
 
Key responsibilities: 
Maintain the partner’s database. 
Collect information on the open grants and enter them to the data base. 
Follow up with partners on the monthly reporting information. 
Provide monthly reports on the open grants status. 
Assist in maintaining the filing system and update the units filing index. 
Help in keeping all partners files updated. 
Provide administrative support to the grants and compliance department. 
Record disseminate and file meeting minutes for the grants department 
Provide logistic support to the grants department. 
Follow up the processing of payment and liquidation requests. 
Assist in the development, dissemination, and signing of sub grants agreements. 
Keep records deal with and file correspondence. 
Organize travel arrangements and appointments for the grants team. 
Perform other duties as needed. 
 
Qualifications and Experience: 
A university degree in accounting field is required. 
Computer skills in MS applications particularly Excel. 
Good oral and written English skills. 
Ability to think independently and problem solve. 
Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task.
