Seeking qualified Liberian nationals for a position in the Supply Unit, Operations Section of UNICEF Liberia.

Purpose of the Position:

Under the general supervision of the Logistics Specialist, the incumbent performs a variety of specialized duties related to the administration of the UNICEF warehouse and inventory.

 Key Accountabilities and Duties & Tasks:

1.  Responsible for receiving, storing and recording supplies, maintaining the accuracy and integrity of physical stock levels. Operate the UNITRACK software.

2.  Ensure that orders received are dispatched efficiently and accurately within the specified time frame.

3.  Support and facilitate the periodic physical count of inventory.

4.  Prepare reports on obsolete, missing or damaged items for the Property Survey Board procedures.

5.  Provide inputs/feedback for the adequate maintenance of the conditions of the warehouse, reporting failures/needs in a timely manner.

6.  Oversee and instruct warehouse workers, ensuring their delivery of services in accordance with the established TORs.

7.  Performs other duties, as required.

 

Qualifications of Successful Candidate:

a)  Education:  Secondary education. Additional progressive formal or "on the job" training essential. Completion of relevant university credit courses an asset.

b)  Work Experience:  Six or more years of relevant work experience.  Progressively responsible experience in supporting UNICEF's operational divisions, including: office      management, finance/accounts/budget, ICT, supply/logistics, clerical, secretarial, or other administrative work.

c)  Language:  Knowledge of English. Good knowledge of local languages.
