We are looking for a highly qualified who can fit the position of Finance Officer in DRC Bekaa Office 
 
Who are we? 
Danish refugee council has been operatingin the Middle East and North Africa for over a decade, running a combination of livelihood, protection, advocacy and relief projects. DRC has six project offices throughout Iraq, Lebanon, Syria, Tunisia/Libya, Turkey, and both a country and regional office in Jordan.  
DRC Lebanon has been assisting the Syrian displaced, fleeing Syria into northern Lebanon, since May 2011. This assistance has come through the provision of food and non-food items, various outreach activities (registration, follow-up and awareness sessions) rehabilitation of collective shelters and the implementation of quick impact projects.

In Bekaa you will find one of the most historical places in the world such as the Baalbak temple. It is also a safe and relaxing environment but at the same time very close to Beirut. 
 
About the job 
The Finance Officer will be responsible for all daily finance/accounting tasks in Beqaa in line with DRC and donor requirements 
 
Duties and Responsibilities 
• Handle the petit cash 
• Review the TDL on a monthly basis and prepare all rebooking for the FAM 
• Responsible for Daily cash count with the finance assistant  
• Follow up the payment of suppliers, contractors... etc.  Responsible for paying monthly expenses (e.g. rents and staff). 
• Responsible for the monthly financial prevision and assure sufficient funds to be transferred fromBeirut for activities in the bank account for Zahle and Baalback office 
• Maintain Cashbook, Partner tracking sheet, commitment cashbook, and payment schedule. 
• Ensure proper bookkeeping & filing of payments in line with DRC & donor requirements. 
• Assist the FAM in updating allocation tables, in preparing financial reports and in budget forecast and commitments for monthly FFU reporting.  
 
About you 
To be successful in this role you must have previous experience in Finance department and able to work under pressure

Required qualifications 
• University degree in Accounting, Business, finance or related area 
• Minimum of 2 years' relevant working experience 
• Proven ability to work under pressure and meeting deadlines; 
• Well-developed organizational and planning skills 
• Teamwork skills 
Desirable qualifications

• Willingness and ability to work flexible working hours 
• Ability to communicate and write clearly in English strongly preferred 
 
 
We offer 
DRC will offer the successful applicant a 6 months contract, renewable dependent on both funding and performance. You must be available to start work from March 2017 and be willing and able to work in Bekaa. 
Salary and conditions will be in accordance with Danish Refugee Council’s Terms of Employment for Expatriates and Nationals; please refer to www.drc.ngo under Vacancies. This position will be placed at level C equivalent USD 1650.
