The incumbent of this post will support the Nutrition Section and will be responsible for executing a broad variety of standardized administrative tasks requiring thorough knowledge of UNICEF administrative procedures, processes and policies.

How can you make a difference?

The incumbent of this post will support the Nutrition Section and will be responsible for executing a broad variety of standardized administrative tasks requiring thorough knowledge of UNICEF administrative procedures, processes and policies.

  • Provide travel assistance to colleagues by coordinating and processing travel arrangements in line with organizational rules and relevant policies.
  • Ensure accurate collection, processing and approval of invoices and respond to any related client inquiries.
  • Facilitate processing of contracts for consultants and external partners by preparing documents, completing forms and making necessary logistical arrangements.
  • Support accurate tracking and monitoring of expenditures in line with donor obligations.
  • Provide general administrative support in planning events/conferences, management of office supplies/equipment and maintenance of other administrative records.

To qualify as an advocate for every child you will have…

  • Completion of secondary education, preferably supplemented with technical or university courses related to the work of UNICEF.
  • A minimum of five years of relevant experience in providing progressively responsible administrative support services.
  • Working knowledge of UNICEF systems, policies and procedures is considered an asset.
  • Passing the GGST Exam (Global General Service Test) or UN ASAT in English is required.
  • Non-US candidates must be in possession of a US G4 visa or be a US permanent resident/citizen.
  • Fluency in English is required. Knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian or Spanish) or a local language is an asset.
