To provide support to the HR Officer in carrying out the duties and responsibilities of the CRB Secretariat in the areas of CRB panel reviews and the update/maintenance of talent groups. Additionally, supports on an ad hoc basis other areas of work in the Mobility and Staffing Section, as needed.

Purpose: 
Provides support to the HR Officer in carrying out the duties and responsibilities of the CRB Secretariat in the areas of CRB panel reviews and the update/maintenance of talent groups.  Additionally, supports on an ad hoc basis other areas of work in the Mobility and Staffing Section, as needed.

Main duties & Responsibilities:

 Support to management of CRB panel reviews

  1. Maintains, updates and monitors case tracking log
  2. Reviews and checks case submission documentation and communicates with recruiter teams on gaps or missing information
  3. Closes review meetings in TM system and provides updates to recruiter teams, as needed
  4. Manages the end-to-end CRB review process for NYGS posts
  5. Supports the nomination and onboarding process for new CRB members to NYCRB-P and NYCRB-GS bodies
  6. Supports CRB orientation and briefing sessions
  7. Supports training of CRB membership in new TM system, including reviewing and updating user guides
  8. Tracks case milestones and prepares data reports and KPI charts of CRB Review and Approval phase on periodic basis
  9. In supervisor's absence, manages all CRB reviews (end-to-end) and on a rolling and timely basis

 

 Support to Talent Groups

  1. Responsible for monitoring, recording and updating all CRB reviewed and approved recommended candidates in talent groups verifying and ensuring accuracy of the information recorded;
  2. Researches and responds to queries on the validity of candidate records and amends records upon request by HR managers/recruiters;
  3. Coordinates with eRecruitment on talent group creation, maintenance and candidate records

 

 Additional work activities expected

  1. Supports HR Reforms as it relates to the work of CRB Secretariat; and provides project support to other areas of work in MSS on ad hoc basis
  2. Any other tasks as requested by Supervisor.

 

Qualifications, skills and competencies required

  • A completed first level university degree combined with three years of relevant work experience is required.
  • A secondary education combined with five years of relevant work experience may be accepted in lieu of a first level university degree. 
  • Knowledge of UNICEF HR rules, regulations and procedures desirable
  • Fluency in English required. Knowledge of an additional UN language is an asset. 
  • Good communication, drafting, analytical and organizational skills.
  • Confidentiality and discretion a must.
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision and review own work for quality and accuracy with due attention to details
  • Ability to compile statistical or descriptive data reports
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Excel and MS Word required.
