We are looking for a highly qualified who can fit the position of Psychologist in DRC Bekaa Office 
 
Who are we? 
Danish refugee council has been operatingin the Middle East and North Africa for over a decade, running a combination of livelihood, protection, advocacy and relief projects. DRC has six project offices throughout Iraq, Lebanon, Syria, Tunisia/Libya, Turkey, and both a country and regional office in Jordan.  
DRC Lebanon has been assisting the Syrian displaced, fleeing Syria into northern Lebanon, since May 2011. This assistance has come through the provision of food and non-food items, various outreach activities (registration, follow-up and awareness sessions) rehabilitation of collective shelters and the implementation of quick impact projects.

In Bekaa you will find one of the most historical places in the world such as the Baalbak temple. It is also a safe and relaxing environment but at the same time very close to Beirut. 
 
About the job 
The psychologist will be responsible of responding to CP & GBV concerns at a group and individual level with the support of the staff counselor on the technical part 
 
Duties and Responsibilities 
• The Psychologist will provide Psychological Support to most critical identified cases (by Child Protection (CP) and Sexual and Gender Based Violence (SGBV) case workers) promoting an integrative and holistic survivor centered approach.  
• Assist the SGBV and CP case workers in the detection of most vulnerable cases 
• Provide a clinical assessment on identified cases of persons at risk and survivors of SGBV 
• Report & produce and maintain accurate records and follow up action plans of the beneficiaries (cases files and technical reports must be archived in locked and secure location, access to them should be restricted only to relevant, authorized CP and SGBV project staff) 
• Attend Best Interest Assessment and Determination meetings and advocate for the best interest and safety of the child when convened 
• Identify cases requiring psychiatric mental health services and refer to the appropriate actors. Coordinate with these service providers to adapt the therapeutic plan of the client accordingly  
• Contribute to the maintenance of an up-to-date service mapping of the service providers operating in the area and ensure that caseworkers are informed about the available services 
• Actively participate and contribute to Mental Health and psychosocial support, child protection, GBV and other relevant coordination mechanisms as requested by the protection manager. Share relevant information and action points with the protection manager and CP/GBV officers and coordinators when applicable remain abreast of SOPs and best practices at the field, the national and global level

Required qualifications 
• Bachelor/Degree in clinical psychology 
• Ability to maintain confidentiality, respect, non-discrimination and safety of client at all times; 
• Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills, creativity and flexibility; 
• Comfortable in a multi-cultural environment, flexible and able to handle pressure well; 
• Ability to provide technical support, trainings and supervision to case workers; 
 
Desirable qualifications 
“Ideally, you will also have…” 
• Willingness and ability to work flexible working hours 
• Training on Interpersonal therapy and/or MHGaP 
• Ability to community and write clearly in English strongly preferred 
 
We offer 
DRC will offer the successful applicant a10months contract, renewable dependent on both funding and performance. You must be available to start work from  March 2017 and be willing and able to work in Bekaa. 
Salary and conditions will be in accordance with Danish Refugee Council’s Terms of Employment for Expatriates and Nationals; please refer to www.drc.ngo under Vacancies. This position will be placed at level C+ equivalent USD 1850.
