The New Talent Team in UNICEFs Division of Human Resources is looking for a new team member to support the management of entry- and mid-level talent programmes (e.g. JPO and NETI).

The New Talent Team in UNICEFs Division of Human Resources is responsible for the acquisition and management of entry- and mid-level talent. It manages programmes like the New and Emerging Talent Initiative (NETI), the Junior Professional Officer (JPO) programme, the UN Volunteers (UNV) and the Internship Programme. The unit also manages the outreach function and serves as a laboratory for new talent management initiatives. How can you make a difference?

We are looking for a new team member to support the following activities:

  • Evaluation and administration of the career development portfolio for NETIs and JPOs (including coaching, mentoring, career counselling and buddy programmes as well as 360 Feedback).
  • Assisting in the planning and design of the 2017 NETI and JPO Orientation (including communication, logistics and evaluation).
  • Developing and implementing mechanisms to increase the retention of JPOs and NETIs (including promoting graduates to offices, providing feedback and building alumni communities).
  • Supporting the preparation and completion of recruitment campaigns (including outreach, data analysis, assisting in the selection and onboarding process).

To qualify as a champion for every child you will have…

  • A first-level university degree in human resources management, business or public administration, social sciences, education or related field.

  • A minimum of one year of relevant professional experience in human resources management or directly related field.
  • Experience in recruitment and talent management is required.
  • Knowledge of relevant computer systems and applications and excellent knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is required.
  • Knowledge of UNICEF's e-recruitment system is an asset.

  • Fluency in English is required. Knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian or Spanish) is an asset.
