Regional Training Coordinator (Jordan Nationals Only) - Region Middle East

The Middle East Regional Office based in Amman, Jordan was created in January 2014 as part of NRC’s reorganization process.  We currently have more than 3,000 staff in the Middle East region assisting people displaced by conflict in Syria, Iraq, Lebanon, Turkey, Jordan and Palestine.  Our work is concentrated on the shelter, education, food security, legal assistance and water, sanitation and hygiene sectors with strong protection and resilience focus integrated into our programs.

NRC operations is in the Middle East have grown significantly in recent years and further growth is expected in the months to come. The Regional Training Coordinator is responsible for the timely implementation of Induction seminars (NRC WAY 1 and 2) in addition to managing the MERO annual training plan. In this position you’ll be responsible for facilitating the induction trainings, and other relevant trainings to NRC, in addition to overseeing the administration and organization process of inductions and trainings, and ensuring a quality and on time processes.


Role and responsibilities

  1. Responsible to coordinate and conduct NRC Way 2-day trainings according to set timelines for all staff in the region in close cooperation with experts and NRC Way Trainers.
  2. In close cooperation with HO HR implement other trainings
  3. Plan and coordinate new training initiatives from HQ and the MERO Region.
  4. Responsible for planning and coordinating the monitoring, follow up, documentation and evaluation of the different staff development initiatives in the MERO region.
  5. Coordination of other staff development initiatives as agreed by the MERO Regional Management Team.
  6. Responsible for planning and implementing the MERO Annual Training Plan in close cooperation with Area Managers, Head of Departments, and Country Directors. 

Our Ideal Candidate:

Minimum 3 years of relevant experience as facilitator and/or trainer, in addition to a good level of experience and motivation to administering and organizing training process.

We are seeking a candidate who enjoys working with people from different places and backgrounds, and the ability to work remotely with NRC staff in the region. A positive and energetic person who will encourage people to engage and interact.

Our ideal candidate is someone who will hit the ground running, and be proactive and willing to take NRC induction and training initiatives forward, improve them, and doing what it takes to keep them going on a timely manner.

Excellent communication skills in English and Arabic is a must, in this position you’ll be dealing with different senior managers across the region.

Additional Information:

Contract period: 12 months

Salary/benefits: According to NRC’s salary scale and terms and conditions

Duty station: Amman with up to 40% travel.
