Pact is recruiting an IT Director for an upcoming USAID-funded program in Sri Lanka, Civil Society Organization Program. The program will strengthen civil society organizations’ (CSOs) technical capacity, financial sustainability, and ability to constructively engage the public and the government as a key driver of reform in Sri Lanka. This program will seek to build cooperation among CSOs, including between Colombo and provincial and local-level CSOs and authorities, and expand CSO partnerships and consultative processes with the Government of Sri Lanka to improve the civil society enabling environment and secure space for civil society engagement on policy reforms.
The IT Director is responsible for the secure and effective operation of all computer systems, related applications, hardware, and software that is used within the project. S/he will monitor and respond in a very timely manner to requests for technical assistance. The IT Director will be responsible for project start up, including set up, troubleshooting, and maintenance of computers and related systems. This position is contingent upon award. The IT Director reports to the DCOP.
Manage IT and computer systems.
Design, develop, implement, and coordinate systems, policies, and procedures.
Ensure security of data, network access, and backup systems. Identify problematic areas and implement solutions.
Provide technical assistance to program staff.
Perform other duties, as needed.
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, such as computer science, informatics, or IT management.
At least 5 years of experience in IT management.
Demonstrated effective interpersonal skills, creative problem-solving, and ethical management.
Demonstrated ability to manage and oversee multiple complex tasks simultaneously.
Fluency in English
Fluency in Sinhalese or Tamil.
