Job description

  • Prepare and submit reports and analysis
  • Ensure proper filing of all support documents in the file tree.
  • Support line managers in procedures and require support team trainings
  • Prepare financial report to donor (Dutch NMFA)
  • Facilitate monthly Budget versus Actual (BvA) reports (Dutch NMFA) with budget holder and follow up on action points.
  • Assist budget holder in preparation of budgets (Draft budget)
  • Maintain Master budget update for (Dutch NMFA) grant.
  • Check and verify NRC Partners financial report and documentation under Dutch NMFA.
  • Assist Area Managers in preparation of field Z costs (support Cost) and ensure that these costs are correctly charged under (Dutch NMFA) grant.
  • Prepare monthly cost Allocation under Dutch NMFA project
  • Be proactive in communication with Program team to ensure that new donor requirements are taken on board
  • Promote exchange of information and cooperation with relevant department in main office as well as with Project managers and coordinators
  • Generate time sheet for staff charged to (Dutch NFMA) grant and filled.
  • Scanning and backlogging of financial documents under this grant.
  • Be the focal point between implementing Partners and NRC
  • Support the team when needed.
  • Ensure that the accounting, monitoring and reporting are according to procedures (donors and NRC) (Finance)
  • Support project staff in financial matters (Finance)
  • Maintain budget control and monitor cash flow for the area (Finance)
  • Ensure development and implementation of administrative systems and procedures

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience with INGOs/humanitarian in relevant field of Finance
  • Bachelor Degree in Business Administration/Finance.
  • Familiarity with Donor grants
  • English, Pashto and Dari language is preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of preparing annual MOF report
  • Strong analysis skills (qualitative and qualitative)
  • Strong cultural awareness and sensitivity
