Job description

  • Record all cash movements and undertake daily cash count
  • Prepare and arrange for bank withdrawals and transfers and present for verification
  • Verify all invoices, vouchers and receipts and supporting documents and enter in the system as appropriate
  • Make all approved payment
  • Giving cash advances to Logistic Assistant and staffs when needed
  • Entering all logistic advances into post back;
  • Clearing advances of NRC individual staffs and logistic section
  • Entering beneficiaries voucher into post back
  • Maintaining and updating proper cash book on daily basis
  • Maintaining and updating proper bank book on daily basis
  • Taking update plan from departments regarding cash
  • Arranging beneficiary payments through money exchanger/ Hawala agent as requested by program staff;
  • Voucher preparation, signing voucher on requester, verifier, authorizer, writing cherubs signing it on two account signatories
  • Entering staff salaries in to post back. (Salary, medical allowance,
  • Tax, overtime, field allowance and per diem) entering all account code, project code, resource number, and amount individually
  • Entering tax entries in to post back after tax payment and entering resource number and amount individually for tax entries.
  • Preparing bank reconciliation and reconciling it with bank statement;
  • Requesting bank statement from bank and attaching it to every cheque and TRF is issued
  • Maintain accurate financial and accounting files and transactions
  • Maintain proper filling system for all financial and accounting documents
  • Send monthly reports to Support Office
  • Assist in preparation of financial reports, budget and budget monitoring for projects
  • Performing any related task submitted by supervisor.

Qualifications

  • University degree/Diploma in Finance/Accounting.
  • Minimum 3 years’ relevant experience with international and national NGOs
  • Computer skills with exposure to accounting system
  • Good in English, both written and verbal
  • Certification/ Diploma in Finance/Accountings
  • Excellent computer skills
  • Proficiency on Excel and Access
  • Strong analysis skills (qualitative and qualitative)
  • Strong cultural awareness and sensitivity
  • Good understanding of complex emergencies and crisis contexts
  • Flexible and creative
  • Strong organizational and logistical skills
