UNICEF works in 190 countries and territories to protect the rights of every child. UNICEF has spent 70 years working to improve the lives of children and their families. Defending children's rights throughout their lives requires a global presence, aiming to produce results and understand their effects. UNICEF believes all children have a right to survive, thrive and fulfill their potential – to the benefit of a better world.

For every child, a fair chance

Uganda is one of the over 190 countries and territories around the world where we work to overcome the obstacles that poverty, violence, disease, and discrimination place in a child’s path. Together with the Government of Uganda and partners we work towards achieving the Millennium Development Goals, the objectives of the Uganda National Development Plan, and the planned outcomes of the United Nations Development Assistance Framework.

How can you make a difference?

UNICEF Uganda is looking to recruit a consultant to coordinate and strengthen the relationships among 30+ partner organizations.  U-Report should continue to be a vital component of key campaigns and programmes for each partner, and the consultant will work closely with these organizations to recommend changes to the U-Report team to ensure that this occurs.  In addition, the consultant will strengthen the coordination among the partners for the key campaigns in 2017, which include a focus on early childhood development, reducing child marriage and female genital mutilation, and advocacy efforts with the Uganda Parliamentary Forum for Children.
