ABOUT THE JOB: 
 
 
Warehouse/Logistics Assistant is responsible for making sure that all material received/delivered and stored in the warehouse applying the warehouse SOP and meanwhile to implement the warehouse activities properly.   
 
 
Responsibilities 
 
 
  • Overall supervision of items movement and warehouse management. 
  • Receives, stores, and issues of relief items upon receipt of request as signed and approved. 
  • Verifies, quality and quantity of received items and cross checks with delivery noted and waybills and report. 
  • Implement for proper update of documents (bin cards/stock cards) in accordance to the items movement. 
  • Participate in quarterly physical inventory of warehouse items.   
  • Release required spare parts for vehicles and generators from the stock, based on a requisition from Supply Chain. 
  • Receive the requested parts from Kabul workshop and to store in the stock. 
  • Prepare the spare parts order request form based on the shortage of items in the stock 
  • Providing daily activity/laborers reports and submits to line manager. 
  • Provides update report of items movement. 
  • Conducts and guides sporadic sample and periodic inventories of stock. 
  • Controls for proper stock arrangement after every items movement. 
  • Monitors safety, security, and stock arrangement of all warehouse buildings. 
  • Release of diesel fuel to vehicles and generators based on the requests. 
  • Managing the stationary, consumable items stock and reports 
  • Managing the ERM7 NFIs stock and reporting. 
  • Managing the livelihood items stock. 
  • Any other tasks given by line manger related to the job. 
 
 
ABOUT YOU: 
 
 
To be successful in this role you must have: 
 
 
Experience, Education and Qualification
 
 
  • Minimum one year in warehousing/fuel and logistics experience;
  • Working experience with humanitarian and INGOs;
  • High school certificate required,  university degree will be an asset;
  • Ability and skills of good record keeping.
 
 
Languages: 
 
 
  • Professional and fluent ability to speak and write Dari and Pashto
  • Understanding of English is an asset

We offer 
 
 
  • DRC-DDG will offer the successful applicant a one-year fixed-term contract from 1 June 2017 to 31 October 2017.  
  • Salary and conditions will be in accordance with DRC-DDG’s Terms of Employment for national staff. This position will be placed at salary Grade E, level 1, basic 480 USD.
