Join our dedicated team and contribute to implement country office emergency preparedness and response. You will be responsible for the technical contribution to the development, planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of the emergency interventions to advance the survival and well-being of children and mothers and affected communities in an emergency situation.

Under the supervision of and in regular consultation with the Deputy Representative, implement country office emergency preparedness and response. How can you make a difference?


Under the guidance of the Deputy Representative, the incumbent will be responsible for:

  1. Emergency Preparedness;
  2. Emergency Response;
  3. Emergency Projects;
  4. Networking and collaboration with other partners.

 

To qualify as a/an [champion or advocate] for every child you will have…

  • A university degree (Bachelor or higher) in social sciences, public administration, law, public health, nutrition, international relations, business administration or other related disciplines. 
  • A minimum of two (2) years of relevant professional work experience at the national and/or international levels in programme/project development, planning, implementation, monitoring, evaluation or administration. 

  • Training/experience in emergency response management highly desirable; 

     

  • Familiarity with emergencies in the Sierra Leone context is required.

     

  • Developing country work experience in emergencies is an asset.

     

  • Fluency in English is required and knowledge of a local language is an asset.
