Job description

  • Promote the rights of IDPs/returnees in line with the advocacy strategy
  • Monitor and document the implementation of project activities done by implementing partners and/or contractors (plan of action activities, contracts, financial expenditures and project documentation)
  • Conduct quality control and provide technical support to implementing partners and/or contactors
  • Take the leadership in design the setup of classes for refugee children within Afghan Formal schools (In coordination with PED office).
  • Design, organize and lead community and school assessments
  • Lead the selection process of teachers, community mobilizers and teacher’s helpers
  • Training and supervision of teachers, community mobilizers
  • Design of education and recreation activities in partnership with school principals and PED staff Support host afghan host school teachers and children to implement refugee-host community social integration activities.
  • Prepare, logistic, procurement, project activity and expenditures plans following NRC procedures.
  • Coordinate the trainings with PED and relevant DED head.
  • Providing support to the School Improvement Plan activities
  • Properly monitor the SIP implementation, keep documents and report on time.
  • Take the leadership in the design, implementation and M&E of the technical components of NRC projects and programs as needed.
  • Capacity building or NRC staff related issues as needed.
  • Plan activities according to set time-table and ensure that all staff members are aware of responsibilities.
  • Coordinate education project activities with PED, DED, UN, NGO and other stakeholders.
  • Facilitating and distributing Kits, Tents, Books, stationaries…
  • Monitoring the implementation progress of SIP, ALP, Kit distribution, Tent Distribution, suggesting required actions for the betterment of the project and reporting the findings on time.
  • Preparing weekly, monthly, quarterly, semiannual and annual reports on time.
  • Maintaining proper filing system.
  • Any other task as assigned by Area Manager and Education Programme Manager

Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree holder in Education or Literature
  • 2-3 years of experience from working within technical expertise area in a humanitarian/ recovery context
  • Previous experience from working in complex and volatile contexts
  • Core competency expertise
  • Documented results related to the position’s responsibilities
  • Fluency in English, both written and verbal
  • Knowledge of the context in (in EiE)

Education field

  • Education title: Bachelor degree holder/14th grade in literature, teacher training or education
