We are seeking a D.C.-based International Recruiter who will work with technical and new business teams at ACDI/VOCA to find the best possible personnel for proposals and projects. This position is responsible for timely, full-cycle recruiting for proposal and projects, with a focus on bids for new business development.

Primary activities include but are not limited to: identifying candidates through database searches, advertising, sourcing, and networking; conducting initial screening of lead candidates through in-person and phone interviews; soliciting information to update and amplify CVs and complete necessary paperwork for donors; editing/reworking CVs to highlight skills and experience; negotiating compensation in accordance with ACDI/VOCA policies; tracking recruitment effort in the database; and collaborating with ACDI/VOCA staff to understand and prioritize upcoming proposal opportunities.

In addition, this position will assist with and participate in off-site recruitment and networking events. They will support strong and consistent outreach to specialists by ACDI/VOCA by capturing contacts in the recruitment database. They will also ensure that employment verifications and reference checks are completed properly. Additionally, this person will be responsible for maintaining contact with the candidates during the bid process up through award.

Minimum Qualifications require a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, International Relations, or other related field. A minimum of three years of experience within international development and/or international recruiting experience is required. Additional experience working with an Applicant Tracking System desired. Experience with the hiring and procurement practices of USAID and other agencies is desirable. Professional proficiency in Spanish is highly desired. The ability and willingness to travel internationally is required.
