Digital Fundraising Consultant - Regional Roster

The purpose of this process to recruit a Digital Fundraising Consultant for a regional roster – which can then be used by Country Offices in the region.

Purpose of the Assignment

The purpose of this process to recruit a Digital Fundraising Consultant for a regional roster – which can then be used by Country Offices in the region.


The consultant will be the focal point for the development of UNICEF's Digital pledge donor recruitment and retention programs in the LAC region, and thereby drive the growth of pledge income.


The consultant is to provide, technical fundraising expertise, guidance on acquiring and managing Digital recruited donors and techniques to maximize their income.


The consultant will work closely with the fundraising teams across relevant PFP offices in the LAC region to develop their fundraising activity in this area.  There are 9 PFP country offices in the LAC region in total. The role of the incumbent will be twofold 1) to fill resource gaps where necessary in Country Offices 2) to impart best in class learnings in relation to the digital channel. 





Under the guidance of the relevant CO Fundraising Manager, the consultant will perform the following duties:

  • Working within different country office teams across the region - the Digital Specialist will spend time in office, working closely with the CO fundraising teams to develop, support and advise on their telemarketing activities and ensure the realization of results.
  • Work to fill resource gaps in the relevant CO’s countries while also providing Digital training to both telemarketing agencies and fundraising teams on best in class implementation strategies.
  • Provide remote digital support to other CO’s in the region – providing support calls on telemarketing activities, answering ad-hoc queries, sharing best in class examples of telemarketing implementation.
  • Organize and coordinate digital webinars with key speakers from across the organization. 




  • Required time spent in relevant PFP Country Offices in the region.
  • Carry out telemarketing plans per the relevant Country Office Workplan.
  • Train and upskill the relevant country office team members.



  • At least 5 years’ hands-on experience of Digital fundraising, including: digital acquisition of pledge donors ; cultivating and stewardship pledge donors; analytics and tracking; A/B testing ; SEO and SEM and online paid media.
  • Experience of negotiating contracts and enforcing contractual terms with Digital agencies, preferably across diverse markets.
  • It would be an advantage if the person had gained the above experience in both agency and charity environments.
  • Experience of integrated multi-channel fundraising would be an advantage.
  • It would also be an advantage if the person has experience of other pledge fundraising and lead generation channels.
  • Must speak Spanish and English. Portuguese a bonus.
  • Proven ability to deliver to targets and demonstrated experience of results-based management.
  • Strong analytical, negotiating and communication skills.
  • Strong presentation skills. 



The hired consultant will work between CO’s, home and potentially also the Panama RSC.
