Mercy Corps Europe (MCE) has grown rapidly both in terms of the volume of activity and its complexity. The International Finance team plays a critical role in sustaining and enabling this growth through the support it provides to both Field Teams and HQ departments. All the financial stages of MCE grant management, from proposal development and initial budgeting, to compliance and final reporting, are managed by the team.

We are looking for a senior finance professional to head up our International Finance function. This is a new role that has come about due to the growth of the European organisation and will provide important strategic direction, vision and leadership. Based in the Edinburgh office, the successful individual will play a key role in driving efficiency and best practice, guiding and mentoring the International Finance team, and ensuring strong communications and effective working with colleagues across the global organisation.

Candidates should have a deep understanding of financial grant management, ideally with experience in a field-based finance role, along with proven leadership experience, excellent planning and communication skills, and a willingness to travel internationally to the countries in which we operate.
