UNICEF Indonesia is opening a national consultant to support Face-to-Face Fundraising programme.

Title: National Consultant: Face-to-Face Fundraising (F2F) Coordinator

Purpose of the Assignment

UNICEF has been working in Indonesia for more than 60 years towards ensuring the rights and wellbeing of children in Indonesia. We focus on social programmes such as health and nutrition, water and sanitation, education, child protection and social protection. UNICEF is funded entirely by voluntary contributions, including contributions from individual donors recruited via fundraising techniques such as Face-to-Face. Since 2015, UNICEF Indonesia is running Face-to-Face Fundraising operations in-house.
Reporting to the PSFR Officer – Pledge Acquisition, the F2F Coordinator will be responsible to manage the overall operations of in-house F2F in a defined city area, and to ensure the operations under his/her responsibility contribute the expected income towards UNICEF Indonesia’s annual fundraising target. The location for this position is Bekasi/Jakarta Timur, with regular visit to UNICEF Jakarta Office.

Assignment Tasks

1. Recruitment and development of staff, team leaders, and facers
- Identify staffing requirements for the program and initiate recruitment, i.e. Back-End and Sites Organizer
- Perform regular selection process for team leaders and facers, including interviewing, hiring, and managing contracts
- Retain team leaders and facers with excellent performance and supervisory abilities by establishing development plan
- Prepare, organize, and develop on-boarding training programs for new staff, facers and team leaders, in and out of the office

2. Planning and reporting
- Support PSFR Officer – Pledge Acquisition to plan a realistic annual work plan and budget
- Plan daily fundraising activities by ensuring sufficient team leaders, facers, sites and fundraising materials are available, and providing the necessary logistical support
- Provide weekly reports on the progress of the program, i.e. sales, sites, facers performance, plus additional information as required
- Maintain and report expenditure budget on regular basis in accordance with UNICEF rules and regulations

3. Ongoing performance management and quality control 
- Supervise Back-End, Sites Organizer and team leaders on day-to-day basis for smooth F2F operations, SOP implementation, and work flow in accordance with UNICEF rules and regulations
- Lead by example to ensure the annual targets are achieved and the team remains professional, positive, motivated and approachable at all times
- Observe teams in the field and review feedback regarding attrition, SOPs, and customer service to correct issues for continuous improvement through one-on-one / group meetings
- Identify areas which require training and develop ways of integrating into training packages

 

Qualifications of Successful Candidate

  • A University degree in communication, marketing and sales, is required;
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in the implementation and execution of F2F programmes, including development of a fundraising team and programme reporting, for the past 3 years. It will be an advantage if the person has worked in Bekasi and East Jakarta area.
  • Fluency in English and Bahasa Indonesia is required.
