Under the general guidance of the Senior Project Manager –the Outreach Specialist will focus on internal stakeholder engagement with a focus on change management and advocacy with field office staff. Duration of consultancy is 11.5 months.

Enterprise Content Management (ECM) is a formalized means of organizing and storing an organization's documents, and other content, that relate to the organization's processes. The term encompasses strategies, methods, and tools used throughout the lifecycle of the content.​

Purpose of the job:

Under the general guidance of the Senior Project Manager –the Outreach Specialist will focus on internal stakeholder engagement with a focus on change management and advocacy with field office staff.

Duration of Contract

  • 11.5 Months

Key responsibilities

  • Identify key stakeholders with a focus on UNICEF staff outside of New York Headquarters.
  • Utilize multiple channels of communication to interact with and gather feedback from UNICEF staff.
  • Identify, arrange and manage opportunities for key project staff to interact with stakeholders.
  • Lead the change management process to work with stakeholders and understand pain points and needs and respond accordingly.
  • Draft and publish project communications.
  • Contribute to training and outreach materials.
  • Perform other internal communication activities as required by the Senior Project Manager.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree or equivalent in communications, international relations, sociology or another relevant field; First degree is acceptable with 7 years of relevant work experience.
  • PROSCI certification desired.
  • A minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience in one or more of the following areas: communications, or advocacy, of which at least 3 years at the international level required;
  • Strong understanding and usage of social media;
  • Demonstrated experience interacting with stakeholders and managing change in a complex project;
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in advocacy campaigns; and
  • Understanding of UNICEF a strong asset.

Language:

  • Fluency in English is required;
  • Knowledge of another UN language is an asset.

Evaluation method 

Individual consultants will be evaluated based on the cumulative analysis methodology (weighted scoring method), where the award of the contract will be made to the individual consultant whose offer has been evaluated and determined as:

  • Responsive/compliant/acceptable; and
  • Having received the highest score out of a pre-determined set of technical skills and financial proposal specific to the solicitation.
